height: 209px;\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"254\" height=\"209\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/QBml1XZDg3w\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" align=\"right\"><\/embed><\/object>Yes the airlines are at it again.\u00a0 This time, <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052748704655004575113600253734286.html\">according to the Wall Street Journal<\/a>, they are complaining about the idea that you might actually want to get off of a plane after some number of hours of sitting on a tarmac.\u00a0 The pendulum has swung so far to the side of the airlines that they think that they can simply bully the FAA into backing off on the meager regulations they&#8217;ve proposed.\u00a0 I have another idea.<\/p>\n<p>With the airlines threatening to cancel flights at the first hint of trouble, I propose that the FAA institute one additional rule: when a flight is canceled, the airline responsible must rebook a passenger for a flight to his or her destination on that same day, or allow the passenger to book the next available flight to his or her destination <strong>on any airline<\/strong>.\u00a0 Just for spice, we might add something about allowing that booking to be in a higher class of service if it is the only available manner to get a passenger moving.<\/p>\n<p>Still think we don&#8217;t need a real Passenger&#8217;s Bill of Rights?<\/p>\n<div id=\"polls-3\" class=\"wp-polls\">\n\t<form id=\"polls_form_3\" class=\"wp-polls-form\" action=\"\/index.php\" method=\"post\">\n\t\t<p style=\"display: none;\"><input type=\"hidden\" id=\"poll_3_nonce\" name=\"wp-polls-nonce\" value=\"d2ecbe4041\" \/><\/p>\n\t\t<p style=\"display: none;\"><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"poll_id\" value=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Should Congress pass a Passengers' Bill of Rights to curb airline abuse?<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"polls-3-ans\" class=\"wp-polls-ans\"><ul class=\"wp-polls-ul\">\n\t\t<li><input type=\"radio\" id=\"poll-answer-9\" name=\"poll_3\" value=\"9\" \/> <label for=\"poll-answer-9\">Yes, I want my peanuts!<\/label><\/li>\n\t\t<li><input type=\"radio\" id=\"poll-answer-10\" name=\"poll_3\" value=\"10\" \/> <label for=\"poll-answer-10\">No, the airlines are broke enough!<\/label><\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><input type=\"button\" name=\"vote\" value=\"   Vote   \" class=\"Buttons\" onclick=\"poll_vote(3);\" \/><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"#ViewPollResults\" onclick=\"poll_result(3);
